Organizational Structure

According to the Charter of the Nuclear Energy Commission approved by the Government Resolution №. 72 of 2015, the Executive office has the following structure.  

The Nuclear Technology Department has the main functions to organize and coordinate activities to develop policies, programs, strategies and plans for peaceful use of radioactive minerals and nuclear energy and introduction of nuclear technology, and its implementation.

The department provides professional advice, information and support to the Prime Minister and the Nuclear Energy Commission on the issues related to legislation, policy, peaceful uses of radioactive minerals and nuclear energy and expanding introduction of nuclear technology, and develops proposals to improve the legal environment harmonizing with international standards.

The Nuclear Security Policy Department has the main functions to organize and coordinate activities to improve nuclear and radiation protection and security infrastructure, develop legislation, policies, programs, strategies and plans on nuclear and radioactive security and its implementation.

The department provides services to the relevant organizations and companies aimed at expanding nuclear and radiation monitoring activities and improving the technical capacity of radiation protection.

The department consists of an isotope office with the functions of centralized storage, transportation and burial of nuclear and radioactive and radiation generators in the national level, and a laboratory for ensuring the integrity and adjustment of instruments and equipment for measuring exposure to ionizing radiation.

Administrative Office has the primary responsibility for providing leadership in public administration and human resources, law and legal services, implementing financial and economic activities, performing internal audits, implementing functions for training, developing staffs, evaluating their performance and qualification, ensuring working conditions and social guarantee, strengthening the materials, and informing the government’s policy and activities on nuclear and radioactive minerals use to public.

The unit's activities are aimed at ensuring the continuous and normal operation of the nuclear energy sector with specialized human resources, and is responsible for training and developing the sector's human resources, and maintaining and protecting the commission's archives.

Foreign Affairs Department is responsible for studying the international legal regulations and experience of foreign countries related to the peaceful use of radioactive minerals and nuclear energy and ensuring nuclear and radiation safety, cooperating with foreign countries and international organizations within the framework of legislation, and expanding foreign cooperation in the nuclear energy sector.
